A Graceful Exit

There comes a time in a character’s life—sometimes after years of use, sometimes only months—when you get bored with them. Maybe they reached the limit of their potential, didn’t have a great character arc, or just decided that retirement suited them better than the adventuring life. If the campaign is set to continue after you decide to try something new, it’s important to give the adventurer an appropriate sending-off.

Harken now to the tale of Gibli Troughbucket. Gibli was an entertaining concept: a Halfling BardBarian. It’s just as stupid as it sounds and about as graceful as it’s spelled.
